SPEAKING BASIC LAKOTA The Sioux nation is made up of sub-tribes which speak the Sioux language in a number of different dialects. One of the three is Lakota. Being the largest, Lakota represents the people on the Rosebud, Pine Ridge, Lower Brule and Cheyenne River reservations. In this class you will learn how to spell, pronounce, and understand commonly used words. As the class progresses, you will learn to speak and answer in simple sentences.
